Analogue overview

analogue is a physical way of creating sound that is completely different to digital. it is made up of vibrations and because of this the sound quality is generally much better than the digital sounds.
the two main formats are vinyl records and magnetic tape

Idea brainstorm

For the brainstorm we had to come up with ideas, we came up with the idea of the lions in saltaire coming to life and there been a foggy atmosphere.

you could start in a tomb that is where Titus salt is buried and you are listening to the radio which we thought Lewis could do the voice over for.

There will also be zombies and zombie animals such as ducks and swans as you are near the canal and river.

Questionaire

We had to create a questionnaire for our project, we had to include qualitative and quantitative questions, every member of our group created a questionnaire with 8 to 12 questions on. The questionnaires included a team logo the shipley college logo and an introduction to what the project was about. We have then voted as a group who's questionnaire is the best. As a group we decided that ivo, lewis and adams simple question style was the best type but robs background and layout looked more professional. So rob is going to put one of the 3 simple questionnaires into his layout and background.

Team icon work

The team icon project was a interesting one to do, first we had to choose 3 names each in our group, then we had a vote on each others suggestions so we all had a team name each. We then all designed 3-5 logos for a team name and had another class vote on what would be our final design. then we each created our final designs on photoshop and then had i final vote for the team name and logo. We came up with red hawk studios as our team name, but in a robot sort of style like robs logo.

History of saltaire mood board

This is my saltaire mood board, i have put some historical and some present time features. I have included the names of the the lions that are around saltaire and some historical information about saltaire i have also included what i think saltaire will become in the future.

Sound studio

For our first lesson in the sound studio we used the mixing deck. We learned what each dial on the channel did. The first dial is volume, the next 3 are pitch so you can have high low or medium pitches the low picth is also bass. Then there is a dail we didnt learn about then underneath that there was the effects dial and then the panning dial which changes which the side the deck the sound comes out of left speaker or right speaker.
  Rules for the sound room are, no food and drink allowed, dont have the volume to loud as your ears are your tools, bend and lift with your knees. Finally you have to make sure theres no trip hazzard.
